About the firm
Founded in early 2021, Prism Consulting offers tailored consulting services to small and medium-sized companies as well as public sector entities. My focus areas are digital strategy, process reimagination and business intelligence.
I firmly believe that a successful consulting project is one which produces pragmatic and actionable insights as well as consensus on the way forward after the project.
From experience however, most projects start with multiple and often diverging considerations. My work therefore consists in understanding those considerations deeply and then bringing them together, to achieve convergence inside your entity – much like an imaginary inverted prism would bundle rays of light.
Services
Digital strategy
The services in this area follow a simple aim: bring clarity into digital transformation, by making the subject relatable and tangible for your entity. This means looking at both the business value and the technological options of digital transformation.
Typical project questions include:
- What should be digitalised and why?
- What are the expected benefits and what are the associated costs?
- How should the digitalization journey be structured: what, when, how?
Process reimagination
Process reimagination is all about improving user experiences, through simplification and through the successful deployment of digital technologies.
Typical project questions include:
- How do we make our processes intuitive for our customers or citizens?
- How to change our processes to also make the lives of our employees easier?
- Can we use automation or artificial intelligence to offer a better user experience?
Business intelligence
In the context of my services, business intelligence allows to monitor if a new strategy is working or to check whether processes have really been improved.
Typical project questions include:
- What are the best indicators to track performance for a given goal?
- Is the required data available and is its quality adequate? If not, what is the required effort to improve things?
- How to design visually appealing and effective dashboards?
Consulting philosophy
My consulting philosophy is very much centred around collaboration and co-creation. In practice, this means that I carry out projects using the principles of Design Thinking. This means that I always:
- put the end user at the heart of all our considerations, i.e. your client or the citizen
- aim to understand deeply what their needs are and what emotions they feel as they trade or interact with you
- strive to precisely define the problem that needs solving
- generate lots of possible ideas for a given problem, prototyping the most promising ones
- test those ideas, gain feedback on them and iterate on the way toward the best solution for the given problem
- work extensively in a collaborative manner, with you, my client.
This approach is of course combined with the necessary technical expertise around digital strategy development methodologies, process modelling and optimization methods, project and change management and, of course, IT tools and frameworks.
For every project, I ensure that the required skill set is in place to deliver the work. In practice, this means that I will also collaborate with other consultants, outside of Prism Consulting, should this be beneficial in the context of your requirements.
About me
A holder of degrees in engineering, science and accountancy, I have always been interested in how things work and how they can be made to work better. Applying this to subjects like clearer strategies and better business processes, I combine structured analysis methods with the principles of Design Thinking to develop pragmatic solutions to problems. Solutions that work in real life and that have been tested, validated and understood by real users, be they customers, citizens or employees.
Drawing on about 20 years’ experience in advisory and consulting, working with a wide range of public sector entities and small and medium sized companies, I am convinced that external consultants have dual roles: bring fresh ideas from the outside into organisations and bring together the multiple and often divergent sources of knowledge, creativity and inspiration that exist inside organisations.
Formerly an advisory partner with Deloitte and KPMG in Luxembourg, I founded Prism Consulting to work according to my philosophy, on my own or in partnership with other colleagues, who share the same values, and whose skills are complementary to mine in the context of your project. As a Luxembourg citizen, I can work in Luxembourgish, French, German or English.
